Some companies see karaoke as a chance to reduce the effort put into the appearance and entertainment of the night. For example, only bringing a few tracks as background music to play between singers, or not bringing good disco lighting...we do not think the same! We bring a full disco set up, full disco lighting, a full music library to be played between the signers, and then we bring the Karaoke equipment on top! We've removed the request slips on the 90s.  All you need to do is go up to the DJ and let them know your name and the song you would like to sing.  You'll be added to the list of singers immediately.  You can also do this digitally by connecting directly to the software and adding your own details.  Information on how to do this will be provided at the time of the event.

We will bring two wireless microphones that you can use to sing with.  We can control the volume on both mics, so if your friend is too loud, we can lower them a little and bring your volume up.  You'll be like Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton in no time!

Not at the minute, sorry.  It is something we are working on and testing with our karaoke software manufacturers so we hope to be able to bring this to you very soon.

That's the beauty of us bringing a full disco. We can carry on playing music to entertain your guests till someone is ready to sing.  As soon as the first person wants to sing, it'll be a tidal wave of singers.  Our DJs are not expected to sing, but some do love it and will happily join in.

All microphones are supplied clean and ready for the next singer.  We do this by fitting a new, individually wrapped mouth shield to each microphone.  The shaft of the microphone is then cleaned using individually wrapped alcohol wipes.  Singers are provided alcohol gel to clean their hands before they pick up the microphone.

Once a singer has used a microphone, we ask the singer to remove the renewable mouth shield, keep it or throw it away in the bin provided. - A new shield is then fitted, the microphone shaft is wiped down again and the microphone is ready to be used again.

Although not a Covid-19 prevention measure, between events, all microphones are sterilised using an ultraviolet microphone head cleaner.

Yes.  Our Public Liability Insurance covers Oxford Discos for £10,000,000.  Our equipment is also electrically tested annually.  These will automatically be sent to your venue if you have added the contact details inside your VIP Client Area
